Victor Perez has been identified as the person involved in a fatal pedestrian strike on Thursday night after being hit by a 2015 Honda CR-V on Thursday in Silver Spring.
First responders were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 to the intersection of East Franklin Avenue and Seminole Street, where they found Perez in the roadway suffering from critical injuries.
Perez was treated by Fire Rescue personnel and rushed to an area hospital, where he later was pronounced dead. The driver remained at the scene and is assisting with the investigation, police say.
Following the incident, some roads in the area were closed.
The crash remains under investigation days later.
